Roman Helmet Candle Snuffer??

Got out detecting with my brother for a couple hours. It is unseasonably warm here in North Georgia with a high of 74. I found a neat Roman Helmet shaped item, not sure what it may be (any ideas?) my guess is a candle snuffer. Also snagged a mercury dime and a neat old toy car. The silver ring and $1 coin were from a different trip out.

My Brother did better though. He dug his first ever Barber Quarter and his 2nd ever Barber dime. And also found a Indian Head.
