Started in the rain but it brighten up in the afternoon & we finished this site in 5 hours 15 minutes. Our reserve field will be struggle compared to this!

I found a clay pipe on a Roman Site, so finally I can prove the Romans smoked pipes....:thumbsup:

Roman Silver Denarius of Marcus Aurelius:headbang: My first silver of this Emporer.8-)

We have already had our best January, now we have had our best Febuary & its not even over yet.....roll on 2014.......:metaldetector:

Hey Cru, were those silvers really that poorly struck or does damage over the years make them that off center? You see some unbelievable gold and silver pieces that were made from that time period and then you see coins that look like they almost had to try to make them look that off centered.

This makes me laugh a little. The off-centre strike is not unusual & to me makes it MORE real.:thumbsup:

I thought it was decorated Nene Valley Table Ware?
