It was nice to get out of the house after 6 days indoors.:sadsmiley: Almost T-shirt whether!8-)
As I got a few questions about the metal working bits on my last post, I thought I would post todays only finds in picture 2.

44 Roman Bronze Coins - 1 OK
2 Iron Age (Celtic) Brooches
Roman Lion's Head Box Mount
Roman Plate Brooch (type I need)8-)
Roman Ring Bezel (type I need)8-)
Complete Roman Hair Pin
Possible Lead Test Piece (Pin Head)
Medieval 'barrel' shaped leather Mount
Debased & broken Roman Silver Denarius of Sev. Alex. AD225
My smallest ever late 4th C AD Roman Coin - 5.83mm shortest diameter, 6.22mm widest, 0.26g - These were weighed in leather bags rather than counted, & not worth bending over for a couple of strays.:tongue3:

The Site dates from circa 100BC-410AD, nothing seemed to happen here in the Saxon period, but we do get some random Medieval stuff starting in the 13th C.

Yeap, I'm hyper-active which doesn't help.

I'm surprised this post hasn't received more responses Cru, as you guys had some really interesting finds!
Love the look of this decorated button and the details on this Roman coin.
