Only hunted a few hours on the Roman Site & got a further 9 Roman Coins. Takes us to over 550 from this one site (this year).
Bonus was a nice Allectus (books at £150). A good album coin
Only spent just over 1 hour on this newly cut Wheat Field, they were still bailing up in the field.
We had done this area, quite well (we thought), when Shaun7,Woody, Bio Professor came over & hunted. It has not been ploughed since they were here, but its the first time I have hit it with the XP.
Lots of stuff:
Very nice only slightly damaged & with loop - 18th C Pewter Button with 2 hearts & a crown above Hammered Halfgroat of James I 1603-04
Poor 17th C token
Lead Token
I'm very pleased with the last pictured piece. Its a mystery to me Early Gilt Medieval (might be Norman ), Robustly made & excellent workmanship. 3 way strap-junction thingy I think its horse related, due to the square hole end for a leather rein
Cru, That is one beautiful "3-way strap-thingy", especially with the guilt. Would be interested in its ID, if you ever get it.. The Horse related idea does seems logical.
