✅ SOLVED Round aluminum convex disk ?

This looks like it was made this way and nothing cut out later. It's convex and looks like something for a coffee pot. The hole and cut out section appears to be all manufactured that way when made.

it does look like part of an old percolator.... Those have a lot more holes in them though.
