"Rushworth" 1852-1890 3 center and relic fest

Hi all got up at 5am and had a bit of a drive today.I went to area known as Rushworth.Gold was first found in 1852 and the area was named by afriend of Charles Dickens.kind of cool bit of history and fact.i found a gully about 10 minutes from town and spent the day digging up an area about 15 feet by 10 feet and found these items and theres more that i will post latter.

Very cool ,those bottles are fantastic and the three center is great also. I would love to find one of those but in this part of the states its hard to find late 1800s . My oldest here is 1901.I really enjoy your post and your passion for history. Thanks for sharing.

Re: "Rushworth" 1852-1890 3 center and relic fest

Tinpan,

Some really nice finds there. Very nice bottles. Congratulations.

Just curious, what made you decide to dig up the gully? Did you do some research for that area or did you find some clues that led you to believe it might be a productive site.

I had the image of you randomly wondering the country side just diggin up places at random, but that did not seem right. LOL

Great spot you found, however you managed it.
