sad day,a "painted Lady"burns

this victorian made in 1873 stands across street from me was last nite destroyed by fire.
11 people were displaced along with over a dozen cats, 2 birds, and 4 dogs.
early this morning 2 kittens and the mother were found alive in a dresser drawer. :icon_sunny:

well,anyway we have became caretakers of the displaced animals

You did a nice thing taking in the critters , and this will be one less thing the people have to worry about while they are trying to find a place to live .

So sorry for the family and home. So happy you are good and true neighbor!
When I saw that house, it looks almost exactly like my cousins' home in Shellman Georgia, complete with the octagon(oh your rooms looked six-sided) rooms. If I can ever scan the picture, you wouldn't believe how similar.
