Saint Mary's cut Part III
Well today I was not going to let the rain beat me. I went to Kmart and got a raincoat and headed south to a beach I've nicknamed St Mary's (posted a pendant I found there last week). I must have looked a sight - wind howling and rain pouring - but I was warm and happy. 4-5ft seas overnight and the cut had changed again - this time the high 8-10ft sand wall had tumbled down sort of collapsing onto itself - at first I thought "oh no, all the goodies will be buried further" but then realised the fallen cut sand was fresh and laden with more goodies. I only stayed 2hours this time - but I'll be back because I'm sure the slope will degrade away again. Best of all there have been only heavy trash targets like nails or sinkers - all of the bottle tops / bobbypins and can pulls have apparently been taken out to sea - gotta love that!
I dug 32 coins totalling $21
3 keys
and my prize - a 9ct Mens band with wave designs - plenty crusty but I'll have fun cleaning it later. I'm so amped I think I'm going out again to a closer beach this arvo (or maybe I'll have a beer instead
