Saturday was a cold and frosty day , but decided the day would improve, sure enough it steadily got warmer and turned into a sunny winters day and was good for detecting. Just lots of cartridge ends and scrap lead and a few buttons, Then a couple of coins. A short cross penny which is pretty well beat up but is very recognisable as Hammered Silver (first this year) Think it might be King John just based on the style of portrait - only one curl each side of the head. but l'm not good with IDs on these.
The other being a French Jetton. all in all a very happy days detecting. Hutch.
