I went out with a good friend on SAt. and we ended up at an old house near Charlotte NC....
I will never tell....
But after being there 5 minutes I dug a 43 Merc....
and then about an hour later after no more Silver
I got a Rosevelt Dime 1963 and right next to that, another Merc. 1944
Then I started walking accross the yard where we had been walking before,....
and "BAM" a 1944 Washington Quarter...
A good day for silver...

That's a great hunt, Torr. Four pieces of silver. :)

That would be an excellent silver day for me too. ;D How did your friend do? I also noticed on your signature that you have a good list of detectors. Which do you primarily hunt with?

I'm sorry to tell you but my friend did not find any silver, and he had taken me to the house...
He did get some wheats..
But you know, we mainly use Whites detectors, I use a DFX and he uses the XLT (no cross talk)
He got a really good quarter signal and called me over and mine was reading silver quarter...
you whites guys know what I mean..
and it was 4-5 inches deep... and we started digging and there was this big brick in the way and he had me
help get it out of the hole I was thinking surely that would be silver.. so deep under a stone and all
But it was not.. it was a clad quarter...
But sometime after I got the 1st dime, my DFX broke the bottom shaft and I had to use a backup
Tesoro Cebola ??? I don't remember I don't like it much but got the other 3 silver coins with that.
I will try to post a pick for you guys..

Re: Saturdays Haul.... W/ pictures

Sorry Bob, I have not updated that page really well in a long time.
but not all the links are bad, if you just have time to surf around you can see
some of my better finds.

For all you other guys out there here are the pictures of the coins found at the Old House.
I might go back out there tomorrow, and try again, and I might talke a camera with me...
Not to worry, most likely if you know the place I will have already cleaned it out by the time
you arrive... ha ha ha ...

Enjoy the picks...

Oh and the Peace sign did not come from the house, but I wanted you all's opinion of it...
Age - Value - so forth... made of brass wire, very small, very fragile...
