DSC09751.webpDSC09750.webpDSC09752.webpDSC09754.webpDSC09502.webpthis one is my BEST point and YES IT'S REAL! Made of red wine colored obsidian which is fairly rare(I think) in itself. It measures 8 3/16" long by 1 5/16" at the base. I found 15 other smaller points at the same site( 6 were a colorful agate material the rest were black obsidian) as well as over 3000+ shell and bone beads. I don't show it much cause most don't believe its authentic or question my collecting methods. I have never tried to get a COA on it cause I will probably never sell it. It is definitely the "banner find of my life" and am very proud of it. Merry Christmas to all you head hunters and thanks for all the great info and comments on my collection so far!!!

Wha? Wha? I'm speechless. My question is how did it survive intact. I think you can quit hunting now, you will never top that. Ha.

It was found point up in the dirt instead of flat which helped it from being broke IMO

it had to of been hard getting it out to picture it without worrying about breaking it.i think i would feel the same as picking up a newborn child everytime.the child gets easier because it gets bigger, but that would always be the same i would think.that might just be the best point from north america.

I took it to a show in Colorado and Washington a long time ago and it did get some interest.

Wow... thank you for sharing that I will be saving that photo.

Nice !! Have a Great Christmas

Sometimes I see things here that make me want to turn all my finds into driveway gravel, that is an amazing find! While NC can produce some stunning artifacts, other areas just seem to be filled with stunners.

Now that is a stunner!!! Congratulations on that one!!!

You are the man/god/Zeus/my hero. I would of married that piece and had its little relic babies

Where was this found?....Not discrediting your find, but that point has all the earmarks of a grey ghost...........GTP

That had to have come from a grave/mound. Or a cubby hole in a shelter/cave. It does look like a ghost. I would have it authenticated for that reason. Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!

Can we see the others from the same site? Looks amazing

Surely that wasn't found in Illinois, correct??

I would also like to see the Beads if you could post a picture of them.

Thanks.

Holy smokes that piece is amazing dude truly speechless I can't tell real good between fakes and real but if you pulled that one out by your own hand I'm on your side and if that doesn't get a banner vote I don't know what will :)))
