Today was a day to remember for a long time, decided to take a days holiday from work due to the weather being so good for the time of year, We hit a new field and from the off they came to the surface I won't bore you with details the fist Roman Silver came right of the top as the picture shows, waiting for Crusader to ID it. My detecting buddy then went one better a full Vespasian again Crusader better than me on good ID, I then got a Hammered Half Penny of Edward1 1272-1307. In the afternoon my detecting buddy got the find of the day a Saxon Penny of Harold11 who only rained during 1066 and was killed at the battle of Hastings by William of Normandy( William The Conqueror) I have included other finds of the day in the pictures, it's turning out to be a good year.TK :o

Super finds guys. I agree with Crusader on the second partial coin. Here is a pix of the one listed in Seaby.

Holy Moses!!!!!

That Harold II silver is absolutely incredible. I'm an absolute 1066 fanatic, and as you probably know Harold is a tragic hero for the ages. Luckily his legacy still finds ways to live on.

A MAJOR congrats to you, sir!

Cheers and HH,
Brendan
