Hi; It is an 1812 Naval Officers Button in XF Condition. Value = $40. Nice find. Welcome to the TNet. PEACE:RONB

??? I don't see a "1812 Naval Officers Button". What I'm seeing in the photo in Pen's post is a US Marine Corps button with "black finish" on its front, which means it dates from World War One to 1923.

I also see a Marine button. The one pictured in the original post is a two piece button. I don't think there were any 1812 Naval two piece buttons. These are the pictures I see.
