Scary doll id?

Found this in the bottom of an old trunk that was full of old clothes and mouse nests in a barn last year . It looks like it was never ment to have arms or legs . The head is bisque (?) , The body is a round wood piece . The back of the head says 1894 AM 6/0 DEP . It's always given me the creeps . White powder keeps leaking out of its mouth .

Is the head made from porcelain? If so. There is probobly a crack on the unglazed inside and the powder from that is what you are seeing coming out of its mouth. Yep...that one creeps me out too. Wierd that there are no arms or legs.

What you have is an Armand Marseille 1894 bisque head doll.
Armand Marseille was one of the most prolific doll makers right around the turn of the century (1900) and they made bisque dolls for over 40 years. .
