Did an early morning sweep of the curbs and bus stops in front of the school.
Your typical stuff around the area that I did hunt a while back.
Hilites: Toonie, 1955 Cdn Penny, copper, lots of brass, a padlock dial and a heart blinger.

Great soil, plugs put back like I wasn't even there. That's how we like it.

In the 2010's the penny in Canada was phased out. Kids and adults seem to dump or discard pennies everywhere. So in the vicinity of schools these grounds are full of them. Luckily the banks will still cash them out for us.

There's always hope when the young head appears there could be silver.
The Prairie Provinces produce more fishscales than BC or Ontario it seems.

Finding silver coins are so cool to find. I'm surprised I haven't found pre 1937 pennies here yet. Fish scales would be a pretty neat find for sure. Not as hard to find George VI or young Liz pennies here it seems. Maybe someday soon.
