School hunt today

djamwolfe · Apr 29, 2015

Brother and I went up to a local school today. Didn't find anything super interesting, just a bunch of clad.
Sadly I also found out the coil of my f2 broke..

Loco-Digger · Apr 29, 2015

Sorry to hear about the coil. I'd get a DD coil to replace it. Did you get the 4 inch coil with your's?

CoinandRelicMan · Apr 29, 2015

Clad is always good , I pile it up and when enough I separate out the nickels and cents from the clad and do the vibratory tumble job , then cash in.

Ditto on the DD coil option advice :headbang:

Bummer on the coil, good on the digs.

I have the 4" coil too. Glad I do because I'm going out to a scout camp built in the 20's this weekend to hunt.
I'm definitely going to have to slow my pace down with the tiny coil.

GrandBlancDig · Apr 30, 2015

Glad you have a backup! Let me know how you like that 4"

djamwolfe · Apr 30, 2015

The 4" is awesome as a coin shooter, great separation in the trash.
Ended up ordering the DD coil today, I'll let you know how it works after this weekend.

Good call on the DD! Congrats on the coinage

Cool - did you ever get out and try it?

djamwolfe · May 11, 2015

fistfulladirt - Yeah, I took it out to a old camp and dug a ton of clad and even pulled my first silver! It's gonna take a little to get used to, but the depth and separation is great!
