I managed to slip over to the schoolyard for a little hunt on Sunday. I didn't have much time, so I figured I would try to dig a little clad and enjoy the solitude.

Under the power lines, there is a lot of interference, and most machines buzz really badly there. However, the Deus was able to sniff out a little high tone. I flipped the plug and was greeted with this:

Low and behold, a '51 silver dime. It never ceases to amaze me how just one little silver coin seems to make the hunt worthwhile.

I also managed to score a Marineland junk charm, a hand full of clad and a marble. I am going on an MDing vacation next week, so hopefully, I will have some good stuff to post shortly.

YTD silver coins: 48

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your hunts.

I received an invitation to go to NY and NJ for (4) days of hunting. A couple of different TNet members will host hunts for us. I look forward to seeing the guys and hopefully we will find some goodies too.

Thanks for attending our club hunt last weekend. It was nice to get to meet you sir!

I do concur. It sure does.
I also have a power line running through the school I hunt but the F2 chatters a bit under them.
I found me a 59 Rosie at mine on Sunday.

Alright smarty pants, YOU know exactly what the scoop is on my vacation.

For those who don't know: "Ant Charmer" is a reference to Smittyman. While hunting a week or so ago, he sat down on the ground, and the fire ants got all over him. He had to hastily disrobe at the site, to get the all of ants off. Here is a pic of him taking off his clothes! He got mad at me for laughing and taking pictures, but it isn't often you see an old guy moving that fast!

You tell smittyman we have no fire ants up here he’s safe
But I do like the pic

Nice score Tom...and yes you hit the nail on the head...I was at a permission I've been to a few times, trying a new area...I dug trash after trash, dozens of bullets, shotgun slugs...and I was jyst about to call it...and that solid 82-83 rings nice and high, and I pop a Merc...and for some reason, tired as I was, I was rejuvenated! Didn't find anything else decent, but I rode that high all the way home...Ddf

Nice silver Rosie Tom. Always a cool find. Have a great time on vacation and good luck with the finds.

Congrats on eking out the silver and enjoying the solitude of a clad hunt. I just want you to know that this is my 10,000th post for you Tom, and was saving it for your weekends finds post. I hope you guys find plenty of colonial coins and relics during your trip to the Northeast.

Did Patch and Smittyman get their gifts?
