Started the morning on our new 1000 acre permission. We firstly checked out the farmers lead but it was a bust this time. Tried a couple of other fields & then called it for the day. OTWBTTC Cru'dad pulled out a Hammered (Ed I Penny) to save the day. The only other finds were a broken Spec. Buckle, Cloth Seal, & a tiny Lead Token. (2.5 hrs)

In the afternoon we returned to The Potato Field, not too much to report other than lots of buttons, Neolithic Flint, 2 Spec. Buckles, Tudor Clothes Fastener, & 1 Roman Coin. (2.5 hrs)

You are spoilt....that’s a nice unclipped hammered!

Evenly clipped

A very nice hammered for sure! :icon_thumleft:

I like the flint especially! My mom got me started looking for arrowheads over 50 years ago. Having that date range of materials in the same area would give me gray hair! More than what I already have!

Well done on the hammered.
What's the fossil called right below the flint?

Quick question, how many hours a day do you dig? Lots of amazing targets.

Great finds....:occasion14:

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Yay for Cru' dad! He saves the day!
For me just having the opportunity for that kind of access and knowing there may be historical finds would make me giddy....nice recovery on the hammered and neolithic flint!

Average of 5, but during peak periods up to 7.5.

Do you find the flint on the surface or do you find it while digging targets? Gary

On top of the ploughed field, the constant rain we had weeks ago washed many of them to the surface.

nice hammered. 1,000 acres?! WOW

Looks like a great day to me. Congratulations!
