Scrap or sell whole?

I got a box of electronic stuff yesterday at a yard sale and after some bargaining, gave $5 for it. It is full of dish tv receivers, and some other things. I don't know if the receivers work or not. Should I sell them whole or sell them for scrap? Any ideas appreciated.

Sell them whole if they are hd models. Thanks for turning me on to them. I'm sure i've past dozens without looking twice. Not any more!

Is there a way you can test them without sending them in or using the tool?

You might consider plugging one into your TV and see if anything shows up on the screen (like maybe a setup screen)...
