If you are looking for a library book and need to search in places other than you local library, here is a link to WorldCat.

It allows you to search on title or subject and key in you city and will display back what libraries near you have it listed.
It is great for rare or local books that are out of print.
Then follow the link to that library and see if it is checked in.
