Season 5

If there really is a dispute between landowners about recovered treasure this would suggest the find was made on Fred Nolans sons land. It would also suggest the find was coins as any artifacts belong to the Canadian Government.

As to "Rumors" of the value (400 million) is there a source of this rumor or is this just been made up.....,

yes, that's what I was thinking also, on the nolans property, anything found in the money pit area wouldn't be disputed would it ?

Thanks! :occasion14:

I am going sailing with Captain Jack & his 1st Mate Coke, as soon as I get home!

Trouble is that at this point, after all the nonsense and false claims, even if they found God's condom from "The Big Bang" or the Ruby Yacht of Omar Khayyam what has truly been lost is their dignity and the show's credibility. No one would take any claim seriously.

looks like the swamp encompasses 6 different parcels of land (6 different landowners?) so maybe that's where the conflict lies.

They could fill next season with exploration of everything except the money pit. Although I'm still curious about the metal in the wall in one of the dive holes that a diver detected - I wonder if that hole is still accessible?

If the black dude found the treasure, he would have needed to convert it to wealth: for example if it was gold coins he would have needed to convert it to something negotiable for land or whatever else he bought. The buyer would have noted such a sale from such a large quantity of wealth - but possibly didn't talk about it if they also made a large sum from the transaction.

I guess it's possible the black man found some treasure, but he was working alone correct ? I don't know if Oak Island would give up it's secrets that easily. Probably took a group effort to hide the treasure and like wise to discover it again ?!

History’s “The Curse of Oak Island” also drew a 0.9, up a tenth from its last episode.

Tuesday cable ratings: ‘WWE Smackdown,’ ‘Curse of Oak Island’ share the No. 1 spot

And the other is about fake wrestling.

My world is imploding.

I believe the whole island is owned by either the Blankenships/Laginas and the Nolans....

The conflict could also be between the team members. There are other members in the team who don't own any of the land but im assuming would probably be under at least the assumption they were getting a share. I forget the name of the guy who lost his son. He's the step father of Jack Begley. Anyway, from what I understand, they don't own any of the land but have been contributing in numerous ways including financially. It could be that the Laginas or Blankenships decided to dick them out of a share in the end. All I know is this... You never really know who a person truly is inside until you put treasure in front of them. So no matter how tight they've been, anything could have happened if anything of value was recovered. But who knows

going down the road of "ifs" if they are fighting among themselves over something found, it could mean they found more then just a gold coin or two, I don't think they would fight over a very small amount so maybe it's encouraging news ?!

It is encouraging but also a little discouraging. Because if they did find something, there's no telling how long the History Channel will attempt to drag this thing out before letting us know about it. With the last episode of this season being named "Steel Trapped", anything with the word "Trapped" in it doesn't make me hopeful that it has anything to do with newly gained financial "Freedom" the team would be celebrating if something was recovered. So that means they will attempt to drag this thing out AT LEAST a whole other season. With the ratings the way they are, the show getting another season approved won't be an issue. It's totally unfair to the viewers but at least most episodes are enjoyable I guess

For the Kardashian theory, the Smith Cove lead goddess would have had to be the traditional triangular bottom.

Looks like next week's episode is yet another "fluff" filled story script trying to steer gullible viewers away from all previous fairy tales about the island to now trying to prove that there is a connection between the fake planted lead cross (you know the one that was found immediately after they traveled to europe to see carvings men made with their teeth and fingernails) and the templars.

Next they will go to nova scotia to look at a fictional templar vault and graves....
