Season 5

Heck every show is a recap upon itself. Hour long show is only 42 minutes long, and while I like the show it is only about 15-20 minutes of new film each episode from all the recapping done within each episode...

Year 2146

Could it be?
Vertical tubes leading towards the center of the earth,
ranging in size from 12" to 6' and made from materials not known today.

Many ask,
why are they there?
How did they get there?
and what were they for?

Some archaeologist suggest treasure may be hidden inside one or more and many others offered as decoys.

Stay tuned;

Your Bud Aurum

There are only two locations where I would look for treasure on Oak Island.

1. 44 degrees 30 minutes 46.33 seconds North 64 degrees 17 minutes 17.99 seconds West Size 7 feet X 5 feet Elevation 28 feet
2. 44 degrees 30 minutes 46.43 seconds North 64 degrees 17 minutes 17.81 seconds West Size 9 feet X 9 feet Elevation 29 feet

A recap yet they label the show with an "N" indicating new, ( Which it isn't ). Much of this was already gone over in the History channels "The Knights Templar" the previous couple of weeks. Ever since I was a little boy and read the story of Oak Island I was hooked. But these past couple weeks I am feeling like the History Channel is treating us like pre-schoolers. And that cross, when they find something they rush it off to the university to get it analyzed. Melting point of lead is 327.5 c while gold is 1,064 c so why not do a controlled melt to see if the lead is actually a covering over the gold ?

I think an XRF analyzer would be better to check the composition of the metals without destroying anything by melting. Maybe penetration through lead is limited though.

Not to mention that specific gravity would be a quick and definitive test since lead and gold are quite different.

Gold is heavier than lead, so why don't they simply melt some lead down into a similar size and shape of the cross and then weigh both of them ?:dontknow:

Sorry Mike, I did not see your post until after I sent mine.

Why?

Put a fork in it.......another fluff filled episode presenting the same fairy tales we’ve heard 1000’s of times. The only reason they do these types of episodes is due to contractual obligations to use up the time slots the producers agreed to fill. The final episodes will be more of the same.

The advertisement about the lagina’s new show seals the end of the oak island show and the beginning of a new scripted show about the curse of civil war gold (read yet another fictional series).

The oak island hoax has been milked for all its worth over two centuries with great con artists making money based on their made up finds and observations.

Would you still think that the "lead cross" was a plant if it was filled with gold?

If the Roman Sword was solid Gold I would believe it was not a plant

I don't believe anyone has made any money from Oak Island except Samuel Ball and the three kids that found the pit.

I think a lot of people need to relax and just enjoy the show, the Lagina brothers I think are the first to say what they are doing is a search for answers and treasure secondary, and are in some ways just as skeptical as some of us are, they've been upfront IMO. I think there's enough found on the island to date to explore further for answers.

If there is any treasure on Oak Island that is where it would be. That is the only two spots I would check out then I would leave it alone.

Sounds like we are on the same page about this. Tough to stay awake with all the Templar history... dont watch for that reason. Yet they keep shoving it in our face. Waste another 40 min on Templar rehash and have some wacko lady just keep agreeing to it all. Its gotta be the truth then! :tongue3:
Heck it even feels like a plug for that New Templar show.

As soon as I saw Marty and a new series about hidden Civil War gold I pretty much decided this is done... wont watch another show with him on it... not sure I can waste any more time on this joke... Ill pop back in after the series ended so you guys can bring me up to speed on what I missed.

Oh yea, did you know that Chappel discovered a 7x7 vault covered in concrete down about 105'? Just heard about that the other day! :laughing7::icon_scratch::tongue3:

Imagine their surprise when they find out the shaft and water outlets were a primitive toilet in a trans Atlantic rest area.

Of course no vault has ever been discovered on oak island. Whenever diggers/drillers/etc. hit any debris from previous hoaxer's digs, it immediately becomes, "a vault"....
