Seasonal Reminder Hunting Season Opening SOON!

[Kurios1]

Howdy Folks. I was reminded by another T-net member that hunting season for various critters is upon us. I just wanted to let ya'll know to be very careful while out in the woods, fields, creeks, etc. Also a good idea to sport some BLAZE ORANGE or brightly colored head gear and clothing. I wasn't aware when the hunting seasons open and they may vary from state to state but, it's time to take a bit more precaution while out in nature chasing metal. Ya'll be safe.

Good advice.

No wonder when I bought some t-shirts the other day, they had an abundance of bright neon colors. Stay safe those of you who search in hunting areas.

thanks for the nanny state training course.you obviously live in a democrat controlled state.and live in constant fear of life and have the desire to teach everyone else to live in fear.find god,you wont have to be afraid of anything.

Nothing wrong with a reminder to wear hunter orange when hunters are accustomed to not shooting it.
It has made a difference.

I do check what is behind my target ,but in cover , or at a distance , some one wearing a loud color would be safer than being unseen.
A flashlight used in low light conditions going in and out when colors are less noticeable is good too.

Enjoy time afield. Safety first.

....scotter1....you obviously missed the point. Information is good but God help you when YOU DON'T see the person down field .
WITH ALL DUE RESPECT,
Mark.

Scotter1 you live in Democrat controlled state. There is nothing wrong with a reminder. It's not the country folks I worry about. It's the urban cowboy's who watch hunting on TV and have not a clue. see it every year....

That was a very good appropriate reminder, Kurios1.

Thanks for the reminded!!

Don't risk getting shot in a place where hunting is popular. I recommend wearing bright colors when metal detecting deep in the woods and off the trail! I could see how a hunter could mistake a metal detectorist for a deer or bear, if the metal detectorist is off the trail, slowly moving and wearing brown or black clothes. Also, good luck this season to the hunters on this forum, it started here a few weeks ago.

Yes, it's upon us very soon in our area. My husband is a hunter. That will narrow time in the woods to Sundays only around here, sadly.
