Well its been a long hot summer but I was finally able to get out. Here are the finds from my first two hunts this season. The seated dime made my day on the second hunt and the other two silvers were from the first hunt. Any ideas on the buckle? Thanks for looking and HH.

That is a beautiful seated! Not sure what the scrape on the back will do to the grade. :dontknow:

I am heading back out to the seated site today. I got permission to hunt the other side of the creek at an old house site which is very overgrown. The farm fields come right up to the edge of the house site on 3 sides so I think I will stay in the field until old man winter kills of some more of the vegetation. HH

Beauty of a Seated :o
looks more like a plow than digger scrape

You sure you dug that seated dime? It looks like it was minted yesterday. What a beautiful find! Quite jealous....I never pull anything from the ground that looks that good. I'm sure most others on here would say the same. You got a real beauty!

Nice seated I like the Pin fires they usually don't last long!

Well I headed back out for about four hours and I didn't find any more seated coins. I did get one wheaty, 4 flat buttons, 3 musket balls and 2 small buckles. I drove home by way of the small country roads and found a very old looking home site with 4 stone chimneys which are all that's left of the house. If I can get permission to hunt it then I might be posting some more seated coins real soon. HH
