Did some more woods exploring yesterday afternoon and ran into a new small campsite area. Most of the good targets were newer shell casings but found a nice coin. Great that it has a "S" mint mark even though it is faint.

The suspender clip has a date on it .. 1858. The knife is kind of neat but the other side is missing (shoot!). No that isn't a detecting coil cover in the last picture .. ha!

That's now my 32nd seated coin that I've found over the years. On average I find about 2 each year.

Congrats on that Seated Quarter.

Congrats on the seated! :icon_thumleft:

Very nice finds winslow. I wish I found that quarter. Jealous.
The date being put to many things like that clip makes me wonder why they thought it important enough to date those items. And why have they stopped the practice these days?

Is that an ornate sword scabbard tip?

All of these finds are awesome. And it's amazing the buckle actually has a date on it.

Never seen a suspender strap like yours. Very cool find! The seated is certainly a keeper as well! Congrats!! :occasion14:
