Seated Silver, Bayonet, Saxhorn!

Hello All!

Catching everyone up on some holiday digging! We made some great finds, check out the video:



In this video you’ll see some sweet Seated silver and great civil war relics, including a bayonet surface find, military brass band mouthpiece made in Germany or Austria-Hungary for a tenor or baritone saxhorn (these were popular in the CW since their over-the-shoulder bells allowed the music to be easily heard while marching). The photo of a Yankee soldier in uniform with a baritone saxhorn is from the Smithsonian. Also—an eagle button surface find, M1859 spur, and more.

This was the deadliest of weapons in that case. Run you through AND give you a serious case of tetanus.

Life is more than YouTube views. What I’ve dug has a lot more value and history than most coin and jewelry hunters Folks seem to like my Instagram which has gained a lot of popularity in a short amount of time, so perhaps I’ll push the YouTube account there. I really just do this to log my finds and keep the footage in a searchable order.
