Greetings friends.
I got out with Gates today to hunt a school yard and found this Seated dime.
Gates had some good finds too.
The rest of the pics are my finds of the last 6 weeks.
Thanks for looking and best luck. Merf :hello:

In spring of 2008, I found a severed right leg from a ceramic doll while detecting, which was similar to yours... then blew out my right knee one week later (torn ACL, etc.). Superstitious anyone? Seeing that thing makes my skin crawl, regardless.

Cool finds.....Matt

Your consistant as ever :icon_thumright:

Thank you for sharing :icon_thumright: Yours are very interesting and diverse finds. Please tell what is written on the round thingy right to 'Ill. Licenced Chauffeur'.
nice finds.and that's the 2nd leg posted today!
I wonder if it's a doll leg or a tobacco tamper like mine because they were made of various materials including porcelain.
Your ring dates back to the 1920's. Once I found a locket similar in style and also marked as yours on the 1900's - 1930's site

Sweet digs Merf. Nice assortment of finds.

nice hit on the relics and silver!!!.......

Congrats on the Seated Dime, and that's a nice group of cool looking indians and relics. I really like the way they come out of the ground in your area. Out here, they're usually pretty toasted.

Thanks to all for the replies and kind words    :hello:

Tuatara---Thanks for the info on the ring.

Here are better pics of the token----

That's a great showing, Merf! :icon_thumleft:

Some really interesting buttons in the mix there. Did you dig the two matching sporting buttons at the same site?

I actually think that any Chauffeur's badge from the 20s or 30s is a great find. I managed to dig one from the late 20s that I sold years ago--one of two finds that I've ever sold--and it was a good bit of money then.

The token is a cool keeper. I wish I found more of them, but they are not too frequently found in KY.

The coins of course are great--and that's quite a pile of IH cents there. How many would you say you've dug in the past two years? It seems like you find a good many of them out your way.

Thanks for posting, my friend. I always enjoy your finds posts.

Regards,

Buckles
