my second trip out yesterday to the new field I have been hunting proved to be better than the first. I got to a spot on the other side of the field that had been cleared by the dozer earlier in the week. I still found some great pieces. I have never seen so many different types of points in one place. Possibly the area was used for many years by different tribes??? I found some interesting ones yesterday that I am guessing they were pieces started and never finished for some reason. Would like to get some opinions as to what kind of piece is in pic #6. thanks for looking.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! The last one is it broken on the end or is it worked? The last one looks like a Paleo piece by the flaking. You tore it up. Thats it I am going hunting after seeing those. It is the nicest day of the yr today. Bye

Holy crap, that's a big pile of artifacts. Cant help with pic 6, but all very nice finds. Love the flake knife/scraper in the last pic, very cool. Thanks for the show.

wow...how much ground was covered to find this many awesome pieces?...when you find so many intact points close to each other, does that mean it used to be a camp or spot where points were produced? Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a side notched that was reducing down to a winged drill in my opinion. Looks like a very old site that dozer is kicking up. When they plow it is going to be crazy good. There are so many to like and type. Number 3 is beautiful Huntress. Nice scores.

I walked probably 2 acres to find what I got yesterday. I believe there was a camp there at one time. The ground is covered with flint of all colors and millions of flakes. There is also a large spring and a bluff at the end of the field. No doubt it was a beautiful place.

wow keep looking there you might come up with a once in a lifetime thing

a terrible lot of stuff there!

unfortunately it is broke on one end. it has an unusual curve to it. I have not found another one like it. when you lay it on a flat surface you can see the arch in it.

Great finds! I believe the point with the concave base is a late paleo type called a Quad. That's a very desirable and old type from your area.

Thanks larson I plan on going back one day after work this week. After the ground is completely cleared the plowing will begin. Can't wait. I know some of the artifacts will be damaged by it but I am sure some more good stuff will turn up.

Thanks Arrowman. I found that one in a mound of dirt that had been pushed back by the dozer. It was at the base of a big tree.

Very nice!!! I like that very last curved one, it's different.

I think you hit it dead on..Very nice 10000-6000 year old point, gotta love that. That is the kinda stuff that should be up on the banner. The big Thebes looking thing is nice also.

Wow! That was most defiantly an excellent day! Wish my days started and ended that way!

Yup, Quad. That's a great point and a great haul for the day!

I just got back! Focus around that spring for your Paleo artifacts. I got some good ones but not like you did. Your hunt was outstanding!

I hit you up for Banner. Hey on the last one I would like to see where it is broken. It sounds like a large flake reduction and then chipped to a tool. It might not be broken it might be where it was taken from the mother stone.
