Nice strong "I" on that one. I have found three of those low convex one piece eagle Infantry buttons over the years and the "I" has always been weak.

You are on a good site, keep at it. Most SW forts can be researched well enough to be able to attribute a buttons attachment to a particular regiment that occupied the site. Not always but sometimes, depending on how many different regiments and companys were there. I have seen more artillery than infantry, so your button may be easy to connect to a particular one. Just my thoughts on it.

Very nice "I" button and some round balls to go with it. :occasion14:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Amazing finds! I have a few known 2nd Seminole War Forts in my area, but either a park or private etc, but I have ideas on Military roads and possible camp areas, so hoping here soon!

What does your detector usually ring up regarding musket balls? And on buttons? Thanks for any info!

Eagle I have a Garrett AT Max. The musketballs ring up at about 70 as well as the buttons. Great luck to you!
