Aurora Aqua, Excalibur, Garrett CX2, Gemini-3, MFD's, Sovereign, Viper, E Trac, Dees Nutz rod, Tesoro Sand Shark. Pro pulse.
I just started with a Sand Shark and was wondering if any long time users give me an idea of the depth in salt water that a quarter could be hit?
With the Excalibur it was 14 in. I know it will hit an aluminum can at over 3 ft.

How deep do you wade?

TF..... you need to get one of our FISHING TAPE MEASURES... it think some are in CM lol. You can use the Xcal anywhere IF you have a good ear, but i prefer a TIF machine like an explorer to work trashy areas.... just gives you a lot more information. It would be like using a PI in the towel line if you dont know what you are doing. Im also looking at a PI as a back up.... its not always depth that brings home the prize, its sensitivity to say gold. A target like a 14K gold earring stud my be undetectable to a Xcal just a few inches in the sand because of the factory salt setting.... and yes even the Karat makes a difference is what im finding. Yes a good PI may pick those missed targets up...... at least thats what im hoping.
