My dream car!!!! Those are beautiful pictures of a BEAUTIFUL car!!!! Thanks for posting them!
I once stopped in a place called "Stauffer's Classics" in Wisconsin and he had a showroom full of classic cars (Ferraris, Lamborghinis, a Pantera, etc.) including 3 original Cobras. (There was a semi trailer behind the building that said "Stauffer Racing".) I could never afford one, and told him so, but also said I would really like to look at them. He smiled and said "That's OK... I like to look at them too."
He took me around to all the cars and we talked about the Cobras a lot. What a great guy! He wrote down my address and later sent me pictures of a hard-top Cobra he had in storage. (This was before email, so he actually sent me prints.) I think at that time, the Cobras in his showroom were priced around $150,000. (Probably almost 20 years ago now.)
