Went back to the 1880's house again today after work. This place is an endless supply of sweet finds. I wonder how I have missed all of these signals on previous hunts.
This site is loaded with old nickels. I have found 6 Vs, a buff and now an 1882 shield! At least I think it's a 1882. The "2" is very blobby. Regardless, I am pumped to find my first shield and it cleaned up great.
I also pulled a sterling silver pin with initials engraved into it, an old skeleton type key and a cool mystery pin that I could really use some help with an ID.
I think the pin face says "ketc" above the emblem. The back side says "Manufactured By, Thomas J. Dunn & CO, 101 Chambers St NY". I'm guessing this is an organization pin. Any input on the organization? My google searches came up empty.
Thanks for looking!
