Hey man how have you been? Let me know if you want another digger to tag along next time you go out. Also if you're interested, a club started up for our area. You can check it out at www.sphrg.com

Does anyone know how old this buckle might be?

Anywhere from the second half of the 18th century.

They date from the late 1600s, yours is incomplete, the chape and pin are missing but it has a nice colour

I'll bid $1 Bob.

top of my head 1720-90

nice buckle Aaron! sorry I'm no help with it though.

Best find of the day that is for sure! Hey Aaron does the second pic have that coin stuff you where talking about on it?

put something with it to compare the size ( it looks small like a knee buckle ) also the pin looks like it runs the length and not the width just like alot of knee buckles.

I agree, if it is of a smaller size and it does look like it is a knee buckle in lieu of a shoe buckle.

If small, a hat buckle is also an option

It definitely looks more like a knee buckle. :icon_thumleft:
