Shootout near Nashville Tennessee

I was driving north towards Nashville a few weeks ago and 3 cops pass me going really fast with lights and sirens on. Just ahead I noticed people starting to brake and I could see one of these cops driving erratically trying to force a car off to the right side of the shoulder with the other 2 right behind him. The car stops and the cops stop with pistols drawn. So all of these stupid motorists want to stop and rubberneck while the only thing on my mind was getting the heck out of the crossfire (if it erupted) Of course this creates a backup on interstate 65 as dumb spectators stare in awe. I was ready to run them over with my semi-truck because i didn't want to be in the middle of a shootout

Yep, I've seen this happen once as well, except I was stopped at an intersection and all of a sudden all of these cops jumped out of their unmarked police cruisers blocking my path of travel so I couldn't move. Guns were drawn and they were ready to start throwing lead if it came down to it. Fortunately the whole show was over in a few seconds without incident and one of the cops moved his car so I could be on my way. Needless to say I almost had to change my shorts, but was also very impressed with how it went down. I'm just happy that I don't have to worry about being on the wrong side of the law.

It happened to me also, the guy I was riding with kept trying to pass the cops who were tailing a guy who wouldn't pull over, when he tried to pass the cop would pull in front of us.
Finally I told him to hit the side of the hwy as the guy finally stopped, (we were in the line of fire), luckily there was none.

Cool pic cjh and glad to see you were still movin and far to the left. One thing I want to point out, I'm sure Brentwood PD has a good training program, but car doors are NO PROTECTION in a gunfight. We learned that in the Caddo OK shootout. I saw the doors from one vehicle and the bullets punched right through them. And killed a couple of troopers. Get the motor between you and the suspect if possible. So maybe these guys weren't expecting any gunplay, but were just being safe.

Good point!! That was a girl who looked like a "Crack Head" too. She was running from the cops and driving like you know what!!
