A buddy got a new permission for a huge mowed field that an old map shows once had a dwelling on it. Field was a little grown back since last mowing making swinging difficult in some areas. We never found a cellar hole or foundation, it is either filled in or in the woods close to the field. I got the KG II and a couple toasted coppers and my friend got two toasted coppers, a thimble, and a couple colonial era brass buttons so we must have been close to the old homesite. We only had a couple hours window to hunt and I had to return home today so I will miss hunting there again until after he hunts it hard in the next couple months.----son of a gun, photos loaded sideways, click on them and they get proper orientation and enlarge.

nice hunt, sure beats the shotgun brass I've been digging.

Short but sweet!

Nice. It's been a long time since I dug 3 in one day. At least it seems like a long time ago.

Too bad your buddy will have his way with that site Gunsil. :laughing7: Three coppers is a nice hunt any day. That KG is still pretty sharp.

Great finds! Thanks for sharing!

Had a blast hunting with you old friend. Anytime man glad the plan came together!
