was bored today so i grabbed a couple hundred bucks and set out to get some dimes and halves
first bank the teller was a grumpy old hag and only gave me $20 in halves and $20 in dimes. thinking about starting a free account and making this my dump bank as they charge 5% to count coins to nonmembers
second bank didnt have any halves but gave up $40 in hand rolled dimes with the tops taped shut
third bank had $120 in loose halves, while waiting for 2 tellers to count up my halves (felt bad they had to count them by hand, probably wont have them do it again as it took almost 10 minutes) i noticed a shiny rim in the tellers dime tray, asked to look at it, 1964 Rosie. ill take it.
fourth bank gave me $200 in halves. while the teller was getting my rolls i noticed another shiny rim in her quarter tray, i asked to look at it, but it was canadian.. rats!

bank 1 skunked
bank 2 (hand rolled taped shut) a 1954 Rosie and a 1954 Denmark 10 Ore, interesting... probably gonna go back tomorrow and buy more from this bank
bank 3 - 1964 rosie pulled from tellers tray, got skunked from the halves
bank 4 skunked.
im getting frustrated with halves, gone through well over $1000 worth and have only pulled out three 40%.. definitely gonna throw dimes into the mix now, much easier to get as every bank has them, and they dont ask as many questions when dumping
