shorted box

I know others have had this happen and it just happened to me- opened a half box and could tell right away it was missing rolls- 3 short so only 47 rolls- the box was sealed and this courier just switched boxes a couple weeks ago where there is no holes on top or bottom to verify
All the other boxes where ok
Called my CU and theyre going to look into it and call me back-
Not a good way to start the days hunt

I have had a roll shorted by $2 and a few others shorted by a coin or 2, but thats all I have had.....

Got a call back from the branch mngr and Ugghhh well this is going to make it a pain at this pick up branch from now on- to prevent it in the future they are going to open the boxes and count them there in front of me- which means ill have to lug the open boxes to the car and into the house-

I was shorted once, now I open the boxes and count them before I leave. CYA, IMO its on you if you find out you are short once you leave the building.

I haven't lost them- the manager was awesome she was so apologetic and wanted me to know theyll get me covered for the $30-
She just wants to cover their butt as well as mine so from now on ill be opening the boxes at the counter to count the rolls, ill probably just bring a roll of tape to secure them back up to carry them out

Ya thinking about it, youre probably right about the shortage being on the buyer once you leave the bank-but honestly how many open and count the rolls right there at the counter?

I had a box missing 3 rolls last week, the box was beat up, and she taped it up before I took it out. I called back and spoke with her, and she checked the vault, and they were actually in there, they had fallen back or something... but I got them back atleast.

I did have another time a few months back where a box was sealed and missing 2 rolls, not much I can do about that, as I didnt even remember which bank it actually came from... just took it as a loss... gotta pay to play sometimes :/

Also a suggestion, get a good grip on the box, and shake/flip it around and see if theres any movement, to save from having to open each one.

Finally heard from the branch manager and they werent able to resolve anything with loomis so they are eating it and depositing the $30 into my account had no doubts they would they are awesome- wierd thing is I was talking to a buddy who gets several boxes of numerous denominatios for his biz and he told me that ever since loomis went.to a solid box with no holes in the lid a couple months ago that he has been shorted on several occasions- hmmmmm

I had a similar experience. A box I picked up over the summer was missing 5 rolls when inspected at home. Fast forward 2 months later, the teller asked me if I was missing any 50c rolls. I told her I had 1 box missing 5 rolls but didn't bring it up to avoid getting anyone in trouble. She promptly gave me the 3 rolls that were found when they were cleaning the vault. I almost felt liked I won a $30 scratch off ticket that day.
