Hi, Ken—

"S R & Co." is Sears, Roebuck & Co., of course, who had their own house brand ammo from 1906 to about 1983. The "Xtra Range" smokeless powder brand was used for a long time, so tough to date.

The other shell is "REM-UMC" stands for Remington- Union Metallic Cartridge Co., c. 1911-1934. Although the two firms merged in 1911, they continued to operate independently until 1916. REM-UMC was bought out by Dupont in 1934 and combined with the Peters Cartridge Co. to form the Remington Arms Co.
