Safety Officer kicked in, all joking aside. Pic with the Taurus, keep your finger off the trigger.

Cool guns. Especially like the Savage .22 a few posts back.

.38 special. Recoil won't be too bad, if I remember correctly you are a teenager? I routinely shoot with a lady friend of mine, she is 5'5' 115 lbs and can handle handguns all the way up to a S&W .500 Magnum with a 2.5" barrel.

You will not have trouble shooting this gun, don't anticipate the recoil and ruin your shot. I believe that model can be shot single or double action, shoot in single action first, it will be easier for you.

Remember:
- Know your target and what lies beyond it.
- Do not load the gun until ready to fire.
- Keep the gun pointed in a safe direction at all times, don't point it at anything you don't want to kill or destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

I don't mean to come off as preaching but follow these simple rules and you won't have a negligent discharge. I'm involved with this almost every day. Safety first! Have fun! And don't be nervous.

Some old rifles and shotguns a local elder farmer did not want anymore over his fireplaces some restoration is needed on a few i like them just as is

thank you for the compliment on my baby, my brother is in law enforcement and he was down last week and gots to try it out and was so impressed, went home and tried to sell a few of his guns to put some money together to buy this one and found that it is out of stock and is not even sure if he will ever be able to get one, been told this gun could become a one of a kinder... till the next model comes out... HAPPY NEW YEARS! HH :headbang:

Today's score, Mossberg 500(A), matte finish, synthetic stock, rifled/ported slug barrel with a Nikon Prostaff scope and
bonus hard case. $175

Should be a good little gun for my sixteen year old.
