Why is everyone so scared to click on links here? I might be a little wary I guess if a newbie out of nowhere posted a link but I have been a member here for a pretty long time. One member here this morning who O have ever "spoken" to I'm my life accused me of changing my profile picture many times and asked why would she trust me? I didn't think too much of that and someone else called her out on it too and I notified a moderator.

I signed it but I sure had a hard time convincing my right finger to click on that site.
I know exactly what you mean! It was very difficult for me as well.

Signed. Good Luck!

Thank you CoilyGirl! I live in this misserable state and had no idea this was happening!
This needs to be passed to the clubs here too!

Signed!

Never thought I'd sign a MoveOn petition but that's the upside-down world we live in now...

Mass stands to rake in some cash from fines... When that dries up they require prospective THers to pay a fee to take a class to instruct proper disposal of trash and return policy for valuables...then another fee for the permit that expires yearly with an additional fee should you allow your current permit to lapse...

I'm confused (very short trip) the OP is looking for support to _ban_ metal detection in Massachusetts?

Sent from my Samsung Note 3 using Tapatalk.

More inept Government at every level!!

I SIGNED and included a note.

At the bottom it indicates that we can request to be taken off of their mailing list.

I have a question here - has anyone been experiencing more than the usual trouble with the United States Post Office? I mailed my taxes off on March 31 from the post office in Angleton Texas, sent it registered with a return receipt. The package made it to Houston, a distance of 36 miles, and that is where it has stayed. Also, the local post office has been holding my mail, with out my request or consent, so that when they delivered 19 pieces of mail today I really was not pleased. Four of these were bills that are now past due and it will cost to pay the late fees.

My only guess is that it is retaliation for affixing my postage stamps upside down on everything I send out to indicate my concern for this country. Note - the package that is hung up in Houston had the mailing stamp applied by the Post Office Employee so it was right side up.

Stupid Government! 63bkpkr

Chuck T- no the OP wants to stop the ban on metal detecting on all state owned beaches which just about covers the entire coast!

Auto correct/Murphy's law, sorry Chuck I didn't see it till today.

All this hype and commentary, yet, not a single link to this alleged proposed law banning detecting.

http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dcr/ne...olicies-and-regs/302-cmr-12-draft-8-23-13.pdf

The metal detecting prohibition is on page 14 and reads:

(23) Special Use Permit Required. Unless authorized by a special use permit issued in
accordance with 302 CMR 12.17(2), no person may:

[bunch of other stuff ommitted}

h. Use or offer for use metal detectors, except with permission from DCR personnel, for the purposes of locating lost personal property.
