Silly Teller....Silver's for CRH'ers!

While dumping at the coin counter today, I actually had a teller come up and ask if she could look through
my container of "dumpage" for silver coins....... "Uhm.....yeah sure.....help yourself...take as much time as you like......you never know..." When she got through looking, I asked her if she had any luck. Silly Teller!

Serves them right! Teller's are in a WORK-enviornment. They are there to please the customer, not hoard silver for themselves.

That's funny. I'd play along and say "well, I think I saw some shiny and heavy coins in there, but I didn't realize they might be different until you just told me. I got them from my grandfather. Some of them have these weird old people on them, not like Kennedy... but I already poured all those into the machine."

HHAHAH! Serves them right. Sometimes tellers say, o ya know there are silver in some coins. I ask them which ones and they say anything older than 1945. I just say yep and laugh as I walk out the door.

All but one dump I've ever done is with teller manned machines.

It seems like more times than not, when I dump halves I catch the teller that is putting the coin into the machine snatch up a coin every now and then and date check it then toss it back in the pile. It makes me wonder what they would do if they wanted it. Would they offer to pay face for it, or would they just set it aside and short me?
