Hello - Got out last weekend for a couple hours. Had higher hopes for a yard from an 1837 homestead but managed a few keepers to scratch that itch. The Silver Spoon was a nice surprise down about 6 inches - it has an inscription 11/10 '09. Also dug a 1925 Merc, a Chinese coin (500), 9 Wheats ranging from 1919-57D, heaviest pocket watch I've ever found, a token (Spencer Smith Mach Co) and a knob of some sort (H,Disston&Sons - PHILADA). Love this time of year - go get em!!

Excellent finds, Brent. :icon_thumleft: WTG on the wheats, merc and Chinese coin. Love the spoon. :icon_thumleft: What does the inscription say, just a date? So do we assume that was written in 1909? Cool find!

Isn't it funny how a yard that should be fantastic often isn't and another that looks so-so can really produce? Crazy. :tongue3:

Great digs. I think the token is a tool tag for the machine shop? That is a great looking spoon. Does it say sterling on it? I can't quite read it. Awesome digs.

Thanks Mike - Yes! Sterling is visible just behind the spoon on the back side
