Found myself at Pleasnat Lake in Deerfield NH today. The local beach is only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. What a clean place 
Spent 2 hours there this evening and was amazed at the lack of trash.
Found the 925 silver whistle over the wall from the lifeguard chair.
The silver+amythest ring was 5" down in the wet sand at water's edge.
flip-flop earring was in the dry sand halfway up the beach
And the 925 + citrine ring was in dry sand right off of a fire ring.
Took Stoney's advice and took pic thru magnifying glass. Hopefully....with practice I'll get better
