So, I went to the local auction last nite, as they had some silver dollars up for sale. 6 Morgans, 5 peace, circulated, but housed in a homemade folder, crafted from cardboard! It was sealed with a plastic sheet and tape, so you couldn't look for mint marks. Coins were labeled by year only. One was 1902. I bought the set of 11 coins for $320. Melt is $295, but dollars go for about $30 each, or $330. So I broke about even initially....until I flipped over the 1902 Morgan and saw that S mintmark......woo-hoo!!
