Silver From Construction Site & Golden Gate Park!

Hunted a construction site today and found 83 coins. two were silver rosies, 1948-S, and a 1952-P. My big surprise was a 1909-P barber quarter! Also got 7 wheat pennies, a tootsie toy, and a dollar coin. Clad total was a little over $ 9.00. They are putting in a new soccer field at this construction site that is next to a elementary school.

Also hit Golden Gate Park in S.F. Managed one silver rosie and 4 wheat pennies. Clad total out of S.F. was $ 10.37. Dug 137 coins out of Golden Gate Park!

For some reason many of the silver coins we dig in northern Calif. have those black stripes running through them. I like to call them "tiger stripes" :laughing7:

Actually, gee, it must have been at least ten years ago when I was a regular on that site. At that time I went by the name "49er Mike". I should probably go back there.

Nice finds Mike....heck these days any day you can pull silver you out of GGP is a good day :thumbsup:

Was there a week ago, let a friend try my detector and he finds a Barber dime in like 5 minutes with it :icon_scratch:
