I hunted 3 places today. I went back to the grass area near the big water tower and dug a 1937 Buffalo Nickel. I did a tight grid swing patern over a three our hunt and the Buffalo was the only old coin.

I then got permission to hunt an old house front yard and dug a silver dime and 5 wheaties. It was a perfect yard to hunt. The owner had removed about one inch of all the grass leaving only dirt the week before.

My 3rd hunt was also at an old house front yard. I dug another 7 wheaties and a silver/gold ring. It says inside the ring "Ster + 10K" . It's one of those rare rings that's both silver and gold.

Man you really think outside the box on the sites you hunt. I never would've thought to detect the side of a hill below a water tower. :notworthy: Love that silver and 10K gold ring too, very unique, the person who lost it must've been devastated.

Thank you for posting pics of the sites you hunt, this is something I do as well, I think it gives the finds more perspective.

Well done on the Buffalo, and the Sterling /Black Hills gold ring.
The rings are made by a few different makers, similar as this and easily ID by the distinctive gold leaf design.
(Even though it states 12K-it's the design that I'm referencing)
