Silver in plain sight, at a Coin Star machine (with pics)

Stopped by a Kroger store to pick up some cake mix. I walked by the Coin Star machine and someone had left some of those pesky reject coins on the shelf.
This is our third Coin Star silver find of the year, a 1941 merc. Plus 4 Canadian quarters.

Keep on Searching,
Dad and Tanner

Wow, way to go! All I ever find at the grocery store are the aluminum beer cans that the can recycler won't take! Oh yah, and I usually pick the grocery cart where there's four pounds of lint wrapped around the axle of one of the wheels so it's impossible to get the cart to go in a straight line!!!

get to the best part, what kind of cake mix?

Gotta love it ! Are any of the Canadian quarters silver ?

I've been searching my Kroger coinstar for half a year now and still haven't found anything! I think someone who works there is sniping the rejects. Lucky you, glad to see someone's getting it. Happy hunting!

Correction: Canadian qtrs are silver, up to 1967 @ 80%, then in 1968 only some made are at 50%. After that then clad.

Very cool. We have been in a slump at our coinstar machine. The tweakers check it all the time.....:BangHead:

Nice Merc!
I still get some silver here & there from Coinstars. Those Canucks make great fillers in your quarter rolls if you're 1 or 2 short. Lol

Nice finds for sure :headbang:
