Silver pocket spill on old ski slope

Spent 4 hours out with the Equinox 800 today trying to learn the machine on an old ski slope. First target I dug was a 1958 nickel. (My first nickel with the Nox.) Right after that I had an unusual find for a ski slope, I dug a small fishing spinner spoon and a lead split shot sinker!

About 20 minutes later by the side of the slope, I got a steady 27 reading on the 800 and was optimistic about the odds of the target being a silver dime. Sure enough, out pops a 1954 Roosie! On a second check of the hole, I get a steady 32 single about 4 inches away and out pops a 1956 Washington quarter. About 6 inches from that target, another 32 and another Washington (1947). This was my first silver pocket spill and it made my day!

I spent a couple more hours hunting and managed a handful of clad, lots of broken ski parts, a 1920 wheaties, and a pile of keys. All in all, a great day out!

Ski slopes are fun to hunt, I wish I had more time. It seems like you always find coins under the lifts! Nice silvers!

I find some fishing lures out in the woods and I believe its because large birds-of-prey carry dead fish to a remote location to eat it (with some having fish lures in them). I once found a Rapala lure AND a small duck band in the same hole - assuming that a large fish, possibly a Northern Pike at the duck and the lure, and then died. Anyways...awesome finds

I was running park 1 with factory settings except for sensitivity at 22, recovery speed at 4, and I was in 50 tone. (Can't recall if that is the stock setting on park 1.)
