On Friday I hit the plantation house at lunch and recovered another 3-ringer, a small 1800's cuff button, and the no date Buff very close to the back door of the house.
Just goes to show you the old saying "no place is ever completely hunted out" holds true. I've been over that area numerous times. Using less discrim has been a great help.
On the way home Friday I hit a few old houses in the downtown area that I just gained permission to hunt. There I recovered a 1948 S quarter, a mystery button, and a few dog vaccine tags. I ran out of light, so I'll be going back there maybe this week.
Saturday I was granted permission to MD at this great old house that was built around 1850. It is over 7000 sq. feet, has 38 rooms, and sits on an acre in the old part of town. It also has CW history with Sherman's troop staying here. The monument sits out in the parking lot, and the old grave (2nd owner) is out in the woods.
The new owners are restoring it into a wedding hall, day spa, etc.
They gave me permission to detect outside, inside (walls/floors for hidden booty), and under the house too. This house is MASSIVE!!!
That's the good news. The bad news is the place may have been detected before over the years.
The old coins just weren't there and plentiful as I would have thought. I did recover a 1911 wheat thought, and a few old relics.
The owners will be pulling up the old bricks in the carriage house eventually to reuse them at the front walkway so I'm hoping for some virgin dirt under there.
Today's planned hunt is a rainout unfortunately.
Yes, my wife & family still recognize me and still allow me to sleep IN the house.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Here is a list of my finds.

*1948 "S" quarter
*No date Buff
*1911 Wheat penny
*CW 3-ringer
*Mystery button with what looks like possibly "JTE" on the front.
Any ideas on this one?
*13mm Cuff button - back mark says "Plated" and has stars too. Mid 1800's is my guess.
*Tiny brass buckle
*Larger (1 1/2") buckle with "Hickoc Bronze" stamped into it. Age?
*Two vaccine tags, both from Winston Salem, NC.
*Old ornate key with a square opening in the base.
*Model A valve stem cap dated 1907 & 1916.
*Lipstick Case - "House of Westmore- Hollywood"
*Old door stop.
*Play money.
*Silver plated fork stamped "Holmes & Edwards" - circa approx.1920's-1950's
