Was digging a burnt down cellar and found a July 9, 1889 Whiting spoon

Then a handle that looks older with no markings

Then some Chinese coin from the '20's?

The house dates back a few hundred years so I'm hoping to score some US coins once I clear away the iron and junk. This was my first of many visits I'm thinking.

Happy hunting

A fake Chinese coin?! Lol

awesome! amazing that you both dug one and are on here.

jackpot, i think that's a real chinese coin. it was made in 1919, and stopped the manufacture in the same year.
the flag on left is 18star flag, means 18 province upraises against the empire. it was also the army flag
the flag on right is five-colored flag, symbolizing the union of five races after the revolution, Han the red, Manchu the yellow, Mongol the blue, Hui the white, and Tibetan the black.
here's a website you can see: http://colnect.com/en/coins/coin/31045-10_Cash-Republic_of_China_Pre-Taiwan-China_Republic_of
